Lucknow: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) hosted an “Exit Engagement Evening Programme” on July 9, to celebrate its alumni, comprising international students from the University of Lucknow and other four universities in north zone.The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof Alok Kumar Rai, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lucknow, as the Chief Guest, and Sri Anil Rastogi, renowned theatre artist and director, as the Guest of Honour. Mr Sanjay Bedi and Mr Arvind Kumar, Directors of ICCR, and Prof R P Singh, Director of the International Cell at the University of Lucknow, also attended the programme.
The “Exit Engagement Evening Programme” was a grand celebration of the ICCR alumni, who have been an integral part of the University of Lucknow’s international community. The event provided a platform for the alumni to reconnect, share their experiences, and reminisce about their time at the university.
Prof Alok Kumar Rai, in his address, highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and international collaborations in today’s globalized world. He praised the ICCR for its efforts in promoting Indian culture and values among international students.
Sri Anil Rastogi, in his address, emphasized the role of art and culture in bridging cultural divides and fostering global understanding. He lauded the ICCR’s initiatives in promoting cultural exchange and dialogue among nations.
The ICCR has been providing alumni cards to passing out international students of Lucknow University, enabling them to stay connected with the organization and the university. This initiative reflects the ICCR’s commitment to nurturing a global community of scholars and cultural ambassadors.

The “Exit Engagement Evening Programme” was a fitting tribute to the passing out international students of north zone of the ICCR alumni, who are going to make significant contributions to society. The event showcased the strong bonds between the ICCR, the university, and its international students, and highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and international collaborations in today’s world.
The Alumni card was distributed to the 86 students of five universities from North Zone.
